Edit a Microsoft Office Document on Windows Phone 7

Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system licensed by a number of OEMs for use as the primary operating system for smartphones and other similar mobile devices. Microsoft has also integrated media management for the operating system into their Zune software, which was originally designed for their Zune media player devices. This article will teach you how to edit a Microsoft Office document on Windows Phone 7.



Steps

  1. Flick to the left on the “Start” screen to access the “Applications” list.


  2. Press the “Office” icon to open Microsoft Office Mobile.

  3. Flick to the “Documents” page.
  4. Press the document you want to edit.
  5. Select the small “Edit” pencil icon to begin editing your document.

  6. Press “Format” to change the text formatting of the document to include things such as Bold, Underline, Increase & Decrease font size, Strikethrough, and Italic. Note: you can select multiple options at once.

  7. Select a color from under the “Highlight” section to highlight the currently selected text.
  8. Select a color under “Font Colour” to select a new colour for your font.
  9. Type text you want to add to the document in the main editor window.
    • You can undo the last edit you made by pressing “More…” followed by “Undo”.
    • You can redo the last edit by pressing “More…” followed by “Redo”.


Tips

  • To disconnect a Bluetooth accessory, tap and hold it from the list of devices within the Bluetooth settings pane and select “Delete”.
  • You can set up wireless syncing through the Zune software by navigating to Settings>Phone>Wireless Sync and following the onscreen instructions to complete the process.



Warnings

  • Xbox LIVE is not available in all regions and countries.
  • Wireless syncing is not supported on workplace Wi-Fi networks.

  • Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac is still in beta and may not offer all of the features present in the current build of the Zune software.
